Every time I push a commit to this blog, a chain of automation kicks in. Within minutes, the changes are live on the internet. No manual builds, no FTP uploads, no server SSH sessions. Just git push and walk away.

As an advocate for Open Source, I’ve often emphasized its benefits – from cost-effectiveness to community-driven innovation. However, my enthusiasm has led some readers to assume that Open Source is always a completely free-for-all affair. Today, I’d like to temper this perception by sharing my own experiences and shedding light on the complexities of Open Source.

What I Run at Home # This is a short (and slightly chaotic) overview of what I’m currently running at home. Not a guide, not a best-practice reference — just a snapshot of the lab as it exists right now.

So… what now? # Since we already glossed over the hardware in the last post, the obvious question is: what do you actually start with when you’re about to homelab?
